The paintings in this chapel were executed by Master Humphrey in 1530 but the central Crucifix and figure of Christ standing on a rainbow have not survived. The scheme of paintings in the upper and lower chapels can be seen in one of the drawings in the mortuary roll of Abbot Islip, 1532, on display in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries.
