Ideally, you want a variety of older and newer projects, and you especially want to check on a very recent project, such as something completed last month. When you do get the references list, don’t take the information for granted. Take a few minutes to check these references. Ask these homeowners about the experience while services were provided and also how well the job has held up over time.

Kind Home Solutions painted our house in the Fall of 2018. They did a beautiful job! We realized just how well they applied the paint in July 2019 when our neighborhood was hit hard by a hail storm.… While other houses suffered damage to their paint and siding, we escaped with a handful of chips on one side of the house and some dinged up trim boards that needed to be touched up. However, Kind Home Solutions did not just dab some paint in the chips. They repainted the entire side of our house and the affected trim boards to ensure a better seal against future weather. Working with them is always a pleasure! Their crews are friendly and courteous. more »

Most of a projects price is the cost of labor at $25 to $75 per hour. However, most contractors bid out based on the entire project which includes all work hours. Hourly rates are only useful if your pro asks to do the job as “time and materials.” However, be wary of this pricing structure, it usually shows the contractor is uncertain how long the project will take.
I was very pleased with the service received from Kind Home Solutions. In late September, Kind Home Solutions painted the exterior of my home. They were professional and punctual in all phases of operations: providing estimates, arranging appointments, brochures, repairs, prep work and painting. The painting crew (JR) did an excellent job and did not scrimp on either paint or caulking, some areas needing multiple coats of paint. The crew completed the job in the estimated amount of time, cleaned up throughout, and hauled away trash. Westminster Home Painting

Before the scrubdown, protect nearby plants by misting their leaves and saturating the surrounding soil with water, pulling them away from the house, and shrouding them in fabric drop cloths. (Plants will cook under plastic.) Lay more drop cloths along the base of the walls to collect any falling paint debris. Walls should be wet down before getting scrubbed, then washed with a gallon of water mixed with 1 cup chlorine bleach and 1 cup of either a concentrated, phosphate-free cleaner, such as a trisodium phosphate (TSP) substitute, or Jomax House Cleaner. Working in sections, from the bottom to the top, will avoid streaks. Be sure to rinse walls well before the solution dries. Wood siding and trim should be ready to paint after a day or two of dry weather. Westminster House Painting CO
